It’s no secret that people all across the U.S. and the world make New Year’s Resolutions once January 1 comes each year.
While there are many ways for people to keep track of, maintain, and hold themselves accountable to their goals, Apple products have a way of being able to assist and help you keep your goals going.
For starters, here are just some ideas and ways on how Apple products and services that can help you with your goals:
- Apple Fitness+: It seems as though every year, people want to begin exercising or simply live a healthier life through working out. Apple Fitness+ can be an excellent way to do that, as it has activities for workouts such as working on your core, strength, kickboxing, cycling, walking or running on a treadmill, and even rowing. On top of that, it has ways of helping you with your mental health through meditation, Pilates, and yoga. It currently costs $9.99 a month and is accessible through the Fitness app.
- Journaling: This is another great way of not only improving and bettering your mental health, but it is a fantastic way of capturing every day life or at least the important days throughout the year. There are two apps that I have personally seen that are great for this, which are Day One Journal and the Apple Journal app. With that said, Day One Journal is available on more devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, whereas the Apple Journal app is only available on the iPhone right now.
- Reading: If your goal or one of your goals this year was to read more, then there are some options for you such as Apple Books and the Kindle app. Both apps are available on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. On top of that, there is the Libby app that works through select local libraries as their method of ebook distribution. For those that still prefer reading physical books, there is always the option of buying books through apps like ThriftBooks and PangoBooks, which do accept Apple Pay as a payment method.
- Learn a new language: With so many apps and so much technology, we have made ways of learning new languages to be much easier. Furthermore, apps such as Duolingo, Babbel, and Rosetta Stone are available to download that can begin your journey into learning a new language this year.
- Cooking: Many people out there love to learn new skills, with one of those being how to cook or at least cook something more than chicken nuggets in the microwave. The good news is there are plenty of apps that can help you do that in 2025, such as the New York Times Cooking: Recipes and Tips app, as well as the Kitchen Stories app. Once again, this is something too where Apple Books could be helpful since there are plenty of cookbook available for free or to purchase there. Again, if you are looking for a physical cookbook, my personal recommendation (and for some fun) would be 2024 Official Wizarding World Cookbook that can be purchased through Apple Pay-accepting merchants such as Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Target.
