We’re less than six months until we anticipate Apple to introduce the next-generation iPhone 17 series, and the highest-end iPhone 17 Pro could feature its first major redesign in years. For every Pro models, Apple offers more neutral finishes or shades of gray, and one elusive finish. Today, a recent report from Majin Bu indicates that the iPhone 17 Pro could offer a “Sky Blue” finish; this would be a great color option since Apple introduced the new Sky Blue finish on the M4 MacBook Air last month, replacing the Space Gray finish, which was very much inconsistent across several Apple devices in the past. However, this wouldn’t be the first time Apple launched a lighter shade of blue on an iPhone Pro model as Apple previously offered Sierra Blue on the iPhone 13 Pro. Nonetheless, Bu expects the finish to be even more stunning than the former:
Sources close to the supply chain confirm that several iPhone 17 Pro prototypes have been made in various colors, with Sky Blue currently the frontrunner. In prototypes, it reportedly looks even more stunning than the much-loved Sierra Blue of the iPhone 13 Pro, with a brightness and refinement that make it irresistible. Unless Apple changes course at the last minute, this will be the star of the September 2025 launch event.
Bu previously and correctly reported that the iPhone 16 Pro could come in Desert Titanium. Although he has been spot on with several Apple leaks, as with other highly reputable analysts, he has gotten a few things wrong. It’s still safe to say that this report should be taken with a grain of salt as it’s too early to tell what the final color options for the iPhone 17 Pro will be until we get dummy units and parts sometime later this summer. Still, it would still be cool if Apple brought the stunning finish to match the highly popular MacBook Air.
