With the recent update for the iPad Air that brings the faster M3 chip earlier in March, Apple begins offering refurbished models of the M2 iPad Air at solid discounts in the U.K. store. In the UK, you could buy the M2 iPad Air starting at £599 when they are offered new from Apple. Now that the model has been discontinued by Apple, you’re going to see very solid discounts at around 15% to 25% when buying it refurbished from Apple. For instance, the 11-inch 128GB Wi-Fi model is offered for £469, and the larger 13-inch model of that same configuration is offered for £639.

The M2 iPad Air is offered in Starlight, Space Gray, Purple, and Blue with storage tiers of 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular. iPad Air with M2 is considered a huge update for the iPad Air as it features a redesign for the 11-inch model with the Center Stage camera on the landscape side, brings the larger 13-inch size to the Air lineup for the first time, and brings other solid spec bumps across the line such as Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for Apple Pencil Pro. This iPad Air will also work with the new, redesigned Magic Keyboard with the function row keys for enhanced versatility.

The new M3 iPad Air is considered a relatively minor spec update, so if you don’t care about the extra performance or hardware-accelerated ray-tracing or mesh-shading that M3 offers, the M2 iPad Air remains a solid option for those who want some premium features (like faster USB-C transfer speeds and laminated display) over the base iPad without spending iPad Pro-level pricing.

Refurbished products undergo a vigorous process to ensure the great quality you’d expect as if you were buying them new from Apple. In the case of iPad models, they came with a new outer shell and battery with the included accessories (cable/power adapter) all packed in white boxes. They also come with the same 14-day return window and 1-year limited warranty with the option to purchase AppleCare+ for extended warranty. Stock for various configurations will vary from time to time, so make sure to keep an eye of on a configuration you have in mind.

Recent refurbished Apple products, such as the iPhone 15 lineup from several weeks ago, usually make their appearance in U.K. and other European countries before the U.S. and Canada, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if we start to see refurbished iPad Air (M2) models in Canada and the U.S. in the coming weeks. Not to mention that iPadOS 19 is heavily rumored to feature drastic improvements in multitasking such as the revamped Stage Manager, so this iPad Air may definitely be a great choice for iPad users on the go.
