Apple Announces Eligible Products for 2025 Sales Tax Holidays

Apple has updated its website to feature a list of products that will be eligible for upcoming 2025 sales tax holidays in nine U.S. states. These states include Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

These tax-free periods are scheduled from late July to early August, with specific dates and additional details available on Apple’s website. The initiative offers a limited-time opportunity for customers to purchase select Apple products both online and in retail stores without incurring sales tax. Apple notes that while tax savings might not always appear during the initial checkout process, they will be reflected on the final receipt.

The eligibility of Apple products for these tax holidays varies by state, with some states also imposing price limits. Commonly eligible items include Macs, iPads, and their associated accessories. In a few states, even the iPhone and Apple Vision Pro are included in the tax-free promotion. Some states also permit any item under a specific price threshold to be tax-exempt.
