Apple has started rolling out the first public betas of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. These updates come two days after the initial release of iOS 26 & iPadOS 26 Developer Beta 4. It seems that Apple has re-released Beta 4 today for Developers.
iOS 26 and iPadOS include a new design implemented across the system called “Liquid Glass”. This is the second major redesign of iOS after iOS 7 in 2013. Everything from icons to the System UI will now adapt to the surrounding elements with the translucent material.
Apple did experiment with Liquid Glass from Developer Beta 1- With Developer Beta 4, testers are reporting that the ‘Liquid Glass’ effect has been turned up again, as it was reduced by a noticeable margin in beta 3. Public Beta testers should be experiencing the same Liquid Glass effect as present on Developer Beta 4.
