Apple introduced the iPhone 17 series earlier this week, and one improvement that those models have over the predecessors is that ability to fast-charge up to 50% in just 20 minutes using a 40W adapter paired with a USB-C charging cable. It looks like Apple is also offering you its first-party solution, which is Apple’s new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max (link).

This new accessory is designed to be more compact, yet provide the same fast-charging capabilities you’d find in higher-wattage chargers. With foldable prongs, this adapter is made for travel and on the go. With Dynamic Power, this adapter dynamically charges your devices up to 60W of output, providing you optimized charging whenever you need an extra charge for your devices. As previously mentioned, you can use this adapter to fast-charge any iPhone 17 model up to 50% in 20 minutes, but for the iPhone Air, expect at bit slower charging speeds at up to 50% in 30 minutes. This limitation is likely due to thermal constraints. The iPhone Air wouldn’t be able to dissipate heat efficiently due to the thinner profile and the titanium frame.

On the product’s webpage, this accessory is listed as officially compatible with the following devices:

  • iPhone models: iPhone 15 series and later
  • All Apple Watch models
  • All AirPods models
  • Apple Vision Pro

It’s unclear why Apple hasn’t listed any iPad or MacBook models as compatible, but this accessory should work on any iPad or at least the MacBook Air models. This accessory is available to order starting today for $39.
