Here are what the boxes for iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air look like

Some of you might be curious what the boxes for iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air would look like. I initially thought that Apple would include images of those on their product environmental reports; however, that’s not the case for the latest lineup of iPhones. However, if you head to the iPhone Upgrade Program page on Apple’s web site, you’ll see images of the boxes for the newest flagship devices.

Additionally, Jon Freier, president of T-Mobile, even shared real-world photos (see above) of those said boxes. Here’s a fun fact for you: the box for the iPhone Air depicts the side profile of the smartphone to showcase the incredible thinness of iPhone Air; the last time we saw an iPhone box depicting the side profile of the model was with the iPhone 5. Boxes for later iPhone models since iPhone 5 either depict the front or the back side of the iPhone, with two exceptions:

  • iPhone 5c were packaged in transparent, polycarbonate cases to show off the bold colors, similar to how most iPod models were packaged.
  • iPhone 6 and 6 Plus had boxes that showed a generic, embossed silhouette of the iPhone

We’ll likely see the boxes for iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air on video once embargo unboxing/first-impression videos is lifted as soon as tomorrow.

I personally collect Apple boxes when I get a new or refurbished Apple device, but what about you? Do you consider yourself an Apple box collector, or would you rather recycle them?
