For every Lunar New Year, Apple designs special editions of its AirPods to feature an elusive custom engraving that depicts one of the zodiac animals.
Here are the past years that Apple designed special edition AirPods:
- 2021 – Year of the Ox
- 2022 – Year of the Tiger
- 2023 – Year of the Rabbit
- 2024 – Year of the Dragon
- 2025 – Year of the Snake
This year marks the Year of the Horse, so Apple is launching a special edition of its AirPods Pro 3 that depicts a distinctive horse emoji icon that you won’t find elsewhere.
This limited edition is available only in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore while supplies last. If you reside in any of those countries, it’d be in your best interest to act fast to snag one up to celebrate the Lunar New Year, which begins on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
