In a wrap-up, Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, reflected on a year defined by unprecedented growth and global expansion. The Apple App Store remains to be a powerhouse of economic activity and user engagement. In 2025, the platform saw an average of over 850 million weekly users across 175 countries. This surge in activity helped developers reach a massive milestone, with total earnings surpassing $550 billion since the store’s inception in 2008.

Entertainment also saw a massive boost, with Apple TV shattering viewership records this past December. Engagement soared by 36 percent compared to the previous year, fueled by the global success of the blockbuster F1 and the hit series Pluribus. Apple is doubling down on sports as well, securing a new five-year agreement to bring every Formula 1 race exclusively to Apple TV in the United States starting this March.

Apple Music celebrated its 10th anniversary in style, reaching all-time highs in both listenership and new subscribers. The service introduced innovative features like AutoMix and Lyrics Translation to bridge language barriers for fans worldwide. Additionally, Apple Music expanded its reach beyond the iPhone, partnering with major brands like GM and TuneIn to bring high-quality audio to more platforms.

Apple Pay, one of the most secure payment methods with built-in encryption, is now available in 89 markets, having thwarted over $1 billion in fraud globally while soaring to $100 billion in incremental merchant sales. The Apple Wallet also saw major updates, including the launch of Digital IDs in more U.S. states and support for Japan’s My Number Card.
