Earlier this week, Apple invited select media outlets to a “special Apple Experience” that is set to take place in New York, London, and Shanghai on March 4. If anything, I strongly believe that we’ll see the first major product launches from Apple for this year, and John Gruber from Daring Fireball suggested so as well.
“What strikes me is that March 4 — the “experience” day — is a Wednesday. So my spitball guess is that they announce all these products via Newsroom press releases, day-by-day. Like, say, the iPhone 17e on Monday, new iPad(s) on Tuesday, and new MacBooks on Wednesday. And then the “experience” will be a hands-on thing with in-person demos.” -John Gruber
Believe it or not, this actually happened before on the week of October 28, 2024, when Apple introduced its first Macs with the M4 series of chips:
- On Monday, October 28, Apple introduced the iMac with the M4 chip.
- On Tuesday, October 29, Apple introduced the Mac mini with the M4 and M4 Pro chips.
- On Wednesday, October 30, Apple introduced the MacBook Pro with the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips. On that day, Apple held an invite-only experience for the media, press, and content creators to get their hands on those M4-based Macs.
Apple also announced new products back-to-back in March 2019:
- Monday, March 18: iPad Air (A12) and iPad mini (A12)
- Tuesday, March 19: iMac with Intel 9th-generation processors
- Wednesday, March 20: AirPods (2nd generation)
Gruber’s claim corroborates what Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is expecting. Similar to Apple’s announcements for the week of October 28, 2024, we shouldn’t expect a full-on Apple Event, but rather, we should expect product announcements via press releases and possibly product introduction videos, similar to what Apple did for the M4 Macs and iPhone 16e.
The products that Apple will most likely introduce during the week of March 2, 2026, are:
- iPhone 17e
- iPad (A18) and iPad Air (M4)
- MacBook Air (M5)
- MacBook Pro (M5 Pro and M5 Max)
- The all-new budget MacBook with the A18 Pro chip, which has been the most interesting product that I’m really looking forward to.
It’s safe to say that this will be the most exciting time for Apple enthusiasts, so make sure you bookmark this site so you will stay updated with everything related to Apple.
