Opinion: My favorite stores and websites to use Apple Pay on in 2026

For me, Apple Pay has certainly changed the way that I pay for items in stores and online. Without a doubt, it has done this for the rest of the country and in many parts of the world as we see it.

I get that we all have our favorite shops and businesses to go through, but here are just some of my favorite places to use Apple Pay.

Stores

  • Barnes & Noble: Reading has taken over my life over the last few years and I’d be lying if I said it was not a joy to be able to use Apple Pay at B&N. This includes other bookstores too such as Half Price Books and Books-A-Million (BAM). However, it would be nice if B&N would start accepting Apple Pay in its iOS app. Just saying.

  • Target: This one goes without saying too just becasue of how convenient it is and the fact that Target is still better than Walmart.

  • Kwik Star: Being from the midwest, specifically Iowa, it is always great to be able to use Apple Pay both at the pump and when inside buying food and drinks.

  • Little Caesars: While it is a cheaper brand or chain of pizza to get, it is reliable and tasty. Best of all, the company in its stores and app accept Apple Pay, which makes me want to spend even more money there.

  • World Market: When I need to get my fix of Jammie Dodgers, this is the place that I go to as both a “Doctor Who” fan and an anglophile. Apple Pay at the end of the checkout is the chef’s kiss on top of it all.

Apps & Websites

  • eBay: Honestly, I use eBay way too much nowadays but it does provide plenty of bargains and cheaper items too. Ever since it started accepting Apple Pay, I have been hooked. On the bright side, at least it helps me get Daily Cash quicker when I pay with Apple Card.

  • PangoBooks & AbeBooks: One of them has an app and the other does not. PangoBooks has the app and AbeBooks has just its website, but the pair of them do both accept Apple Pay and enable me to get cheaper books too.

  • Rarewaves: This is more of a niche website but is great when you are in need or want of unique or hard-to-find “Doctor Who” books and merchandise like myself.

  • Etsy: My relationship to this is similar to that of eBay, but either way, I love it and have gotten some pretty cool things there.

  • Best Buy: As much as I would love to shop at the Apple Store more, not only is it farther out of the way from where I live, but Best Buy has sales and Apple hardly ever does. The app itself is pretty standard but I do like it for what it does, espcially making Apple Pay purchases from it, as well as its Live Activities support.
