It has been over a week since I purchased my MacBook Neo and while I am quite happy with it, there are still a few bit of small parts about my life that I would like to fix where an iPad Mini could fit perfectly into that.
I had an iPad Air 5th Generation previously but traded it in to Apple when I purchased my MacBook Neo.
So far, there has been a lot I have been able to get back into doing on my MacBook Neo such as writing on Appleosophy more and in general. The device has also given me the ability to experience macOS again the way it was meant to be done, as well as cool Mac apps such as MarsEdit, ChatGPT, and the Mac version of Pages (which I have found to prefer more than the iPadOS version).
With that said, where would an iPad Mini fit into my weekly or even daily life regularly?
- Streaming TV shows and movies: I am the kind of guy where I do like to take baths (my full-time job is in a warehouse, so a lot of the work that I do can be physically intense some days and I need to relax my shoulders and back) and it would be nice to stream some TV shows that I’m currently watching, such as the original “Frasier” TV series on Hulu, “Ted” season two on Peacock, or “Bookish” on PBS Passport.
- Basic internet browsing: It would be nice to do basic web browsing from an iPad like that while in the tub.
- YouTube: This one should be a given because of how great YouTube is when it comes to content and entertainment.
- Music listening: Whether it is from Apple Music or the TuneIn app where I listen to BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 3 Unwind on, it would be nice to do these activities from an iPad Mini as well and not be reliant on something like a MacBook.
I get that this is super-niche and probably something that most people or Apple users don’t deal with, but these are just some thoughts that I have had lately after being almost two weeks without my previous iPad, the iPad Air 5th Generation.
