Apple is also celebrating its 50th anniversary with an animated homepage that highlights some of the company’s most iconic products and services in a sketch-style animation.
This short, animation starts with several arches in a rainbow pattern akin to the iconic arches sculpture at Apple Park. It then outlines the original Macintosh, Finder icon, iMac, iPod, MacBook, App Store icon, iPad with Apple Pencil, Apple Watch, Apple Music icon, AirPods Pro, Vision Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro in all of the rainbow colors before sketching out the “retro” Apple logo graphic (in those same colors) that was used to for its 50th anniversary celebration.
Below the animation, you’ll find a brief message that commemorates this milestone:
“50 Years of Thinking Different
At 50 years, it’s only natural to look back. But Apple has always looked forward, building tools and delivering experiences that enrich people’s lives. As we celebrate how far we’ve come, we’re inspired by where we’ll go – together.”
Apple CEO Tim Cook also celebrated this milestone by sharing a post on X that showcases the top products the company announced over the past 50 years in a rewind-VHS-tape style.
Apple turned 50 years old today as Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded the company on April 1, 1976.
