With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just days away, many in the U.S. are naturally getting their TV and streaming setups just right in order to watch this year’s games.
The World Cup is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 11, and conclude on Sunday, July 19. It is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. FOX and FOX Sports 1 (FS1) will be the American broadcasters of the matches this year.
What some may not know is that if you have an Apple TV 4K, you will have the ability to stream the matches in 4K.
The way to do this is through a variety of different apps.
- FOX One: For those that pay for FOX One, FOX’s go-to dedicated live streaming service for all things FOX, it will have each game available to stream in 4K. FOX One currently costs $19.99 a month after a three-day free trial.
- Live TV streaming services: If you do have access to services like Fubo or YouTube TV, you will have access to the FOX 4K channels on the service. However, if you are a YouTube TV subscriber and want to do this natively through the YouTube TV app or website, you will need to pay for the $9.99 4K Plus add-on.
- FOX Sports app: For those that have TV providers where your channel selection/plan gets you access to local FOX station and FS1, as long as you sign-in to this app with your valid TV credentials, you will be able to stream their games live and in 4K from this app.
- Tubi: This is a free ad-supported streaming service and it will be providing free live converage of select games, including America’s first match against Paraguay, Mexico vs. South America, along with the Opening Ceremony of the World Cup in general.
