As we know, Apple is already working on a second-generation iPhone SE, which will be called the iPhone 9. According to the codes found in iOS 14 obtained by 9To5Mac, Apple is also working on an iPhone 9 Plus. 9To5Mac had also discovered evidence earlier in iOS 14 about the iPhone 9. The iPhone 9 lineup will entirely replace the iPhone 8 lineup. The iPhone 9 and the iPhone 9 Plus will have the same design as the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus.
The iPhone 9 will feature a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with LCD technology. The resolution of this display will be the same as the iPhone 8 (1334×750) with 326 pixels-per-inch. It will feature a single camera setup, and Apple may implement Portrait Mode in this single-camera iPhone just like they did on the iPhone XR, as this iPhone will have the latest A13 Bionic chip which is used on the iPhone 11 series. This iPhone may come with 3GB of RAM with 64GB of storage at a price tag of $399. It will have a solid-state home button with Touch ID just like we had on the iPhone 7 series and on the iPhone 8 series as many people prefer it over the gestures and Face ID. So if you want an iPhone which has the latest technologies but with a Home Button which has Touch ID, it is expected to launch soon.

The iPhone 9 Plus will feature a 5.5-inch Retina HD Display with LCD technology. The resolution of this display will be the same as the iPhone 8 Plus (1980×1080) with 401 pixels-per-inch. It will feature a dual-camera setup, and of course, it will have Portrait Mode support just like the iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 9 Plus will feature the same chip as the iPhone 9, the A13 Bionic chip, but will come with 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB on the iPhone 9. The iPhone 9 Plus is expected to start at a price between $449-$499 for the 64GB model with 4GB of RAM. It will feature a solid-state home button with Touch ID just like we had on the iPhone 7 series and on the iPhone 8 series as many people prefer it over the gestures and Face ID.

Apple may also drop support for 3D-Touch on the iPhone 9 series because they have also eliminated the 3D Touch layer on the displays of the higher-end models. Many users simply love this feature and users upgrading from a 3D Touch capable device would miss this amazing feature.
The iPhone 9 series will come with the Express Transit feature for Apple Pay which is not supported by the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus. Apple’s main motive to release this product is to reach more consumers and for users with older iPhones like the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus to upgrade to a newer device.
