Today in a weekly video update shared with staff that are for Apple employees, Deidre O’Brien, Apple’s vice president of retail and people, today told Apple employees that “many more” Apple Stores are set to start reopening in May according to Bloomberg.

“Deirdre O’Brien, vice president of retail and people, made the disclosure in a weekly video update, according to retail employees familiar with the matter. She didn’t specify which stores or regions, but said “we are continuing to analyze this health situation in every location, and I do expect we will reopen up many more stores in May.” The company declined to comment.

Some parts of the U.S. are beginning to get back to work, with states including Texas planning to lift or relax restrictions soon. Georgia has already allowed several businesses to start up again.” –Bloomberg

Over the course of the last few weeks, retail employees have been returning to work through training and meetings at home, while others have been handling online and phone support technical requests. All ”ŒApple Stores”Œ outside of Greater China and the reopened South Korea Apple Store have been closed since March 14.
