Apple is set to officially unveil iOS 14 at WWDC 2020 on June 22nd. As part of Apple’s plans for iOS 14, which will be officially introduced on Monday.
There has been a leak from sources that Apple is also working on some major changes to its Podcasts app, which would now offer personally curated content as Apple Music does.
If you’re already making use of Apple Music on your iPhone, you’re probably familiar with the “For You” heart-shaped tab, which suggests new songs, artists, and playlists based on the content you would love.
iOS 14, will offer a similar feature within Apple’s Podcasts app, according to our source. Hence, the Podcasts app will learn of your personal preferences to suggest new podcasts available on the App, making it more customized and unique for each user.
Also, a new user profile should let you follow your friends on Apple Podcasts to see what they are currently listening to. One other exciting feature expected to be available for the podcast app with iOS 14 is the option for podcasters to offer bonus content to their audience.
These bonus contents will be presented in the same feed as the podcast, but separate from regular episodes. We can only wait and see what other features will be unveiled at WWDC on Monday, as Apple seeks to remain ahead of the podcasting game in light of competition from Spotify.
