The Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K have these incredibly unique screensavers that truly make it stand out against its competitors such as the Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

One feature that I have been asking for years has been seasonal screensavers. This means that when the fall season comes, I want to see an area of brown and orange tree leaves falling in a place like Central Park in New York City or maybe have a screensaver with leaves falling in the rain.

A screensaver I would love to see would be snow falling. It would certainly look nice when the winter and Christmas season is here and I’m playing Christmas music.

The spring season could be rain falling or a thunderstorm, as well as a nice lookout into a peaceful night sky on cool spring night.

Seasonal screensavers could be the next way for Apple to add a little something more to the Apple TV. The Amazon Fire TV has similar screensavers but they are not live and more so just pictures. If Apple were to do a live version, it would be a game-changer.

If Apple were to do something like that, they should make it as part of a tvOS upgrade instead of an Apple TV upgrade.

This is a route Apple should go if they plan on making the Apple TV an even better product than what it was in the previous version. Seasonal screensavers sound like a great way to have an even more personalized look to tvOS as well.

Hopefully this is something we see from Apple during its WWDC keynote or in future updates to tvOS this year.
