There are a lot of apps in the App Store and one of the subjects that we have heard a lot about in America over the last decade is mental health. That’s where Headspace comes into play.

I have been using this app over the last few weeks and it has allowed me to relax myself during these stressful times.

For the record, I have only done the “Basics” part of the app, which is meditating. It’s free and the other two sections, “Breathe” and “Letting Go of Stress,” are premium features of the app.

When doing the meditation in the app, I heard a male voice. The app does have both male and female voices, which makes sense because of how people may prefer one voice over another.

In my experience with the meditation, whether I was doing the three or five-minute session, I found it to relax me more times than not even in that short amount of time. The fact that people can get purely relaxed after a meditation session as short as three minutes is incredible.

Another aspect of the app that is important is getting notifications on your iPhone and Apple Watch that remind you to do your meditation and keeps a daily tracker for you. This can be a great reminder after a long day of work and you need to take your mind off of it.

Overall, I’m giving Headspace 4/4 stars. I am only using the free version of the app, but it is enough for me. Headspace costs $12.99 a month for its premium version and $69.99 for its yearly premium subscription, both of which can be subscribed to through the App Store.

Headspace is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple Watch and has stickers on iMessage too.

Rating: 4/4 stars
