A report from a supply chain states Apple has begun mass production of its tracking device ‘AirTags’ and will soon begin mass-producing the iPhone 12 Series manufacturing and upcoming iPads.

Rumors of Apple announcing the date of the iPhone 12 event have been mixed, with sources saying this week we could see a new iPad and the Apple Watch Series 6 along with a date for the iPhone 12 launch.

According to Asian Review, Apple has shortened the production delay from months to weeks following the COVID-19 pandemic. The iPhone 12 series production reportedly has begun with limited manufacture before ramping up towards the start of October, near the rumored potential launch.

A manufacturing executive spoke on how they have managed to reduce the production delay, here is what they said:

“We’ve managed to shorten the delay significantly and we are not stopping here,” “The final assembly for some models is still going to be early October, but we are working to keep moving the production as early as possible.” reportedly said by a supply chain executive.

The iPhone 12 Series is rumored to feature 5G support, an all-metal frame similar to the iPhone 4, up to 6GB of RAM, A14 SoC, and a triple-lens camera system with a LiDAR scanner. All 4 devices are expected to have OLED displays, which were found to be manufactured by 3 different display companies.
