Many speculations recently have been around the iPhone 12 and Apple’s event. Today Jon Prosser has confirmed the iPhone 12 event which is expected to be held on October 13 with Pre-Orders on the 16th and In Stores on the 23rd.
At the event, we expect to see 4 new iPhones, a 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max with the two high-end devices rumored to feature a LiDAR scanner which is likely to the release delay said by Jon Prosser.
Prosser said in a follow-up tweet that the Pro series would likely be announced at the event but not available until November, possibly delayed due to the inclusion of LiDAR.
This release structure has been seen before when Apple introduced the iPhone 8 series and iPhone X, which was released a month later. A year later in 2018, the iPhone Xs series was released a month after it was announced.
The rumored October 13 event will be Apple’s second fall event. On September 15, Apple’s Time Flies event was held, where the iPad Air 4, iPad 8th Generation, Apple Watch Series 6, and Apple Watch SE were announced along with Apple One and Apple Fitness+.
