Apple’s newly announced HomePod mini has a non-detachable USB-C power cable for use with Apple’s 20W power adapter, which is included with the HomePod mini. Unlike the full-size counterpart, the HomePod, which also has a non-detachable power cable, it has a wall plug.
With Apple including a USB-C connector, it could open various uses for the HomePod mini. In theory, the HomePod mini could be powered and used by a MacBook, USB-C/ThunderBolt equipped PC and a power bank.
The HomePod mini is $99 and is available in two colors, Black and White, with pre-orders beginning on Friday, November 6, and available on November 16.
Apple’s HomePod mini, features an S5 Chip, found in the Apple Watch Series 5, AirPlay 2, Intercom, 360-degree sound, and a U1 chip for smooth handoff and enhanced HomeHub features and capabilities.
