The Apple TV app is expanding its availability and is now available on Google’s latest Chromecast.

Apple TV’s first third-party launch was on Roku, Samsung, Vizio, and Sony TVs in 2019-2020, then in November 2020 on gaming consoles like the Playstation 4/5, and Xbox One S/X and Series S/X. The Apple TV app will also integrate with Google TV, which will help you see search results and recommendations.

And with Google Assistant, you can also use your voice to ask Google to open the Apple TV app or play an Apple Original title. If you aren’t ready to watch right away, you can add Apple Originals to your Watchlist for later. These features will roll out globally in the coming months.

The TV app houses Apple TV+, Apple’s streaming service where you can watch original content made by Apple, notably The Morning Show, For All Mankind, Servant, and Ted Lasso. Users who have an iTunes library of content can access it on the app too, and finally Apple TV Channels, subscription services like HBO, Comedy Central, and Starz, inside the app.

Download the Apple TV app if you have a Chromecast with Google TV on the Play Store.
