Several hours before Apple’s ‘Spring Loaded’ event, marketplace sites such as eBay and Etsy have offered several AirTags’ accessories on sale, including these holders shown above.
Do you remember the iPod touch loop that Apple sells with the iPod touch (5th generation)? It would look as if Apple took inspiration from that accessory along with the MagSafe leather sleeve. You could see that these potential holders sport a snap-on button and a hole for attachment.
As we’re approaching to Apple’s media event, it still remains unknown if we’ll actually see the official debut of AirTags. With iOS referencing these for years and Apple opening its Find My Network to third-party accessories recently, we could see them sooner rather than later. We can expect these AirTags to work similar to Tile Trackers. The biggest advantage would be the ultra wide band technology from the U1 chip for better accuracy than traditional Bluetooth.
