It seems as though with the holiday season approaching in Apple’s retail stores, the company will be dropping its mask mandate.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that Apple is getting rid of its mask requirements “at many U.S. stores.”

The reason for this is due to the dropping number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. This change is expected to take effect in Apple Stores on Friday, November 5.

That means both vaccinated and unvaccinated customers will be able to go into the stores and no longer be required to wear a mask.

However, retail employees will still be required to wear a mask during their shifts.

In Los Angeles and San Francisco, masks will still be required in the stores due to local mask mandates that are currently in place.

Apple’s mask mandate policy was previously discontinued early into the summer, but was brought back by July 2021 due to a rise in positive COVID-19 cases.

Even with the drop of the mask mandate policy, Apple will still be watching the number of cases and will act accordingly, if necessary.
