You could say Tweetbot 6 has a little more to tweet in the new year.

Yesterday, an update from the developers of Tweetbot, Tapbots, added several new features to the app that can change a user’s entire experience while using the app.

All of the new updates came from its Version 6.9 update that was released this past Friday and comes with the following improvements:

– Added a Tweet Stats widget.

– Added a Followers Count widget.

– Added a Timeline Image widget.

– Added an option to share profiles.

– Added an option to save videos.

– Added a “Delete and Edit” option when deleting a Tweet.

– Added Sync Status in Settings to help debug iCloud Sync errors.

– New Gold, Diamond, Brushed Metal and Wood app icons.

Widgets are not entirely new to Tweetbot, as there were some added last year, one of which enabled a user to see part of their Twitter timeline without having to open the app.

The widgets listed up above will just give the user more options and be able to see more of their Twitter profile without always needing to open the app.

Another feature outside of the widgets that was added was the one where users can save videos that are posted on their timeline. This is a feature that not even the Twitter app currently has.

New app icons have been added to the app as well.

Tweetbot 6 is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The app itself is free, but for full functionality of the app, that costs either $5.99 a year or $0.99 a month.
