It was announced today on the Webex blog that a new feature called “Move to Mobile” where it makes it much simpler for users of the video chat and calling service can go from a computer to their iPhone, and then to CarPlay.

All it requires the user to do is scan a QR code from their computer they are initially having the meeting on with their iPhone (have the Webex Meetings app on it too) and then the call is transferred directly to the iPhone, where it can then be plugged into a CarPlay-enabled vehicle via USB, where the meeting will then go to and play on the speakers of the vehicle.

The video below will show visually how all of this works.

Other features that come with this new feature and the Webex Meetings app for CarPlay enable it to view upcoming calls/meetings and hop into more calls from the CarPlay app too.

There are plans to make it so users of the CarPlay app can eventually listen to older recordings for calls the person may have missed.
