If you live in the U.S., and you commute by bike, Apple Maps has you covered when it comes to cycling directions, no matter which state you’re in. According to a post on Reddit, Hawaii became the final state that features cycling directions on Apple Maps. Just a trivia fact, Hawaii was the last state to date to join the United States.
Apple Maps offers many features to help bikers get to places with ease. The service provides essential information like elevation, street traffic, and even stairs along a route. Apple Maps is also tightly integrated into the Apple Watch, providing voice guidance and haptic feedback to help bikers stay on track.
These features are also available in select other regions, such as London and Barcelona, with many more to come. Offering cycling directions in all 50 U.S. states is a huge win for bikers. Not only Apple Maps will encourage bikers to go outside, but also it will help the environment. Chances are, you live in a huge city with busy traffic. With more bikes and fewer cars, there will be fewer emission gases. Therefore, the air will be cleaner in the future.
