Apple is really looking into adding more live sports to its Apple TV+ streaming service.
Right now, the company, according to The Athletic, is now looking to get exclusive streaming rights to Big Ten Conference’s college football and basketball games. It has been reported that Amazon is additionally in the hunt for said streaming rights too.
What makes these streaming rights even more valuable now is due to both UCLA and USC joining the conference in 2024.
When it comes to the traditional broadcast of these games, they are expected to go to FOX, CBS, and NBC, with the streaming rights going to either Apple or Amazon.
Apple does currently have MLB streaming rights for its Friday Night Baseball and will be the streaming home of MLS soccer starting next year. It has also been in discussions for eventually being the streaming home of the NFL Sunday Ticket.
Apple TV+ currently costs $4.99 a month and is available to stream through the Apple TV app.
