More last-minute leaks are popping up just ahead of the Far Out event on Wednesday. The presumably named Apple Watch Pro design has been revealed in a new CAD render shared by 91mobiles as well as a leaked third-party case.
Earlier today, images of supposed third-party accessories for the upcoming watch popped up by Sonny Dickson as well as Duan Rui’s show features like a new rugged look to appeal more to fitness and sports users. Also, the case design reveals a new special button probably for pro users.
Meanwhile, CAD renders by 91mobiles confirm the same design elements found on the case pattern. The renders also show the display as being flat unlike the current Apple Watch models which feature a slightly curved screen. Finally, the new design reveals a protruded layer on the side of the watch which houses a weirdly looking digital crown and side button.
The outlet’s “industry sources” cite the size of the Apple Watch Pro measured at 49mm, making it the largest watch Apple has ever made. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said two months ago the watch will have a 7% larger display, matching display analyst Ross Young’s earlier claims of a 5% increase.
“The CAD renders come courtesy of industry sources and reveal the Apple Watch Pro with a large display, which is in line with recent leaks. It will feature the biggest display yet on an Apple Watch. We are told that the Apple Watch Pro will come in a 49mm size,”
Apple is scheduled to unveil a new set of products this September, including the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 and two other models. Series 8 is likely to include several new features to the lineup in 2022, including the rumored high-end Apple Watch Pro model.
