Twitter has announced today that the edit button is available for Twitter Blue users. Anyone subscribed to the service in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand can try fixing their own tweets.

The feature was officially announced back in April as part of the company’s Twitter Labs while “learning what works, what doesn’t, and what’s possible” until rolling the feature out to everyone. The San Francisco company also noted on Monday that US support is on the way.

“test went well, Edit Tweet is now rolling out to Twitter Blue members in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand! US coming soon”

At the beginning of September, Twitter announced that the edit button was in development and internal testing was ongoing. Now, the feature is making its way out of the company and into the hands of Twitter Blue subscribers. American subscribers would have to slightly wait for more until the feature arrives in the app.

Users can now see the “Edit Tweet” toggle at the bottom of the tweet options of Delete Tweet, Pin to your profile, Change who can reply, and Add/remove from Lists.

Tweets will be able to be modified a few times 30 minutes after posting. Any edited tweets will show an edit icon with a timestamp and label for users to identify the modified tweet. Tapping the label will show users the editing history of the tweet and past versions as well.

Twitter Blue launched in the former four countries in June 2021 and in the US in November 2021 for $2.99/mo. The service allows users to gain access to many features on the platform such as ad-free articles, undo tweets and reading mode, changing the app icon, extra themes, and many others currently in beta ”“ including editing tweets.
