Earlier today, Mark Gurman strongly believes that the next generation iPad Pros will be announced tomorrow. We don’t expect any new major features other than the upgraded M2 chip. However, that’s not the only product that Apple might announce.
We’ve been hearing more rumors about the 10th-generation budget iPad. This one is going to be the biggest leap for that model since the original because it may bring many of the flagship features found in the higher-end models. This includes the modern, flat-edge design, Apple Pencil 2 support, and USB-C in place of the Lightning connector.
Now, customers at Target stores are discovering even more new cases that will be designed for the said model. If you look closely at that one from Speck, you’ll see the case has a holder for the 2nd-generation Apple Pencil, which also collaborates with the previous rumors for this iPad.
We can expect this iPad to feature a larger, rectangular 10.5-inch display, an A14 chip, and 5G support. These features will not only keep the starting price low compared to other models but also prevents the base iPad from potentially cannibalizing the iPad Air, which features a similar footprint as that of the standard iPad. The upcoming iPad could be announced alongside the iPad Pro tomorrow with availability starting next week.
