There are no plans at Apple this year to release any new Macs.

Instead, the update to Apple’s Mac is expected to happen sometime in the first quarter of 2023. This is said to be updates to the MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and Mac Mini, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

Gurman reported in his latest Power On newsletter that the Macs that were said to be coming later this year are now set to debut early next year.

“I’m told that Apple is aiming to introduce the upgraded models””including M2-based versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros””in the first quarter of calendar 2023,” he said.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in the company’s most recent earnings call that the product lineup for next year “is set.”

Luca Maestri, CFO at Apple, said the company has come across difficulties when trying to improve upon the Mac products released last year.

“We have a very challenging compare against last year, which had the benefit of the launch and associated channel fill of our newly redesigned MacBook Pro with M1,” Maestri said.
