It pays to be an Apple Pay user.
Starting next month, Discover Card users will get 5% cashback on each purchase they make at gas stations. This promotion begins on Saturday, July 1, and will go until Saturday, September 30.
The only way this will work is by making purchases through a digital wallet system such as Apple Pay through the Wallet app. Users do have to log into their accounts in order to activate this promotion. To learn about this promo, click here.
As long as the promo is activated, users just have to pay for their gas purchases with Apple Pay from their iPhone or Apple Watch.
This promotion can come in handy this time of the year with summer traveling, whether that is for a vacation or simply commuting to and from work every week.
The promotion also beats what Apple Card users would get with gas purchases at gas stations that accept Apple Pay, which would be just 2% in Daily Cash. However, at Mobil stations, users will get 3% in Daily Cash there.
