In an effort to address the carbon and environmental impact of their products, Apple has discontinued their leather Apple Watch bands and introduced new wavy nylon bands. The elimination of the old leather magnetic bands makes room for this more sustainable alternative. Additionally, Nike-branded bands will have a new line featuring a “marble” style using recycled materials from old bands to create a colorful “confetti or marble effect”. The majority of the bands are made from recycled materials.
