Tech reviews have gotten their hands on the latest iPad mini, which features the A17 Pro chip to support Apple Intelligence. Additionally, one tidbit that has been shared is that the new iPad mini now supports Final Cut Pro for iPad. Apple even updated this info on the App Store listing.
Final Cut Pro for iPad was first introduced last year in May, and it initially supported all iPads with an M-series chip. Just this past May when Apple introduced the latest iPad Air and iPad Pros, Apple also updated that app with a major new version called “Final Cut Pro for iPad 2” (not to be confused with the iPad 2 from 2011). That new update brings support for projects on external hard drives and Live Multicam with the Final Cut Camera app for iPhone and iPad. Since the new iPad mini has 8GB of RAM, it’s more than capable enough to run Final Cut Pro for iPad.
iPad mini (A17 Pro) also supports Logic Pro for iPad, which lets users create professional music tracks on the go. Both the iPad mini 5 and mini 6 already support Logic Pro for iPad since it merely requires any iPad with an A12 chip or later
Both Final Cut Pro for iPad and Logic Pro for iPad are available on the App Store with subscription-based prices set at $4.99 USD/mo. or $49.99 USD/yr after a one-month free trial.
The new iPad mini will be available in stores tomorrow, and it starts at $499 USD with 128GB of storage.
