Apple adds several recent products to its certified refurbished store, including M4 MacBook Air

Over the past few days, Apple added not one, but three of its recent products to its certified refurbished store.

The first of these are the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Black Titanium. Back in September 2024, Apple didn’t introduce any hardware refresh for the Apple Watch Ultra; instead, Apple debuted this new color for the Apple Watch Ultra, so now we have two colors for the Apple Watch Ultra – Natural and Black Titanium. What’s even remarkable is that the bands with come with the Black Titanium model will have their lugs/hardware color-matched to the Watch. You can even configure the color of the hardware for those bands when purchasing them separately. Refurbished models of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in both colors start at $679, which is 15% off the MSRP when buying them new from Apple at $799. So it’s great deal if you want a rugged smartwatch that will last multiple days, and they’ll certainly run the upcoming watchOS 26.

Second on the list are 2025 Mac Studio models, specifically models with M4 Max and M3 Ultra. These powerful workstations were introduced earlier this year in March. The last update we saw on the Mac Studio was in June 2023 with M2 Max/Ultra, so this year’s update brings hardware-accelerated ray-tracing and mesh-shading for the first time on Mac Studio. We already saw the M4 Max on the latest MacBook Pros introduced last October, but this Mac Studio introduces the M3 Ultra for the first time, which is now Apple’s most powerful chip the company has ever produced. Refurbished Mac Studio models start at $1,699, which would retail for $1,999 when buying them new from Apple, and that starts with an M4 Max chip with 14-core CPU and 32-core GPU.

Last but not least, this came as a surprise from us, but Apple added M4 MacBook Air models to the online refurbished store. The M4 chip is already powerful and capable enough with improved performance and efficiency, so it already makes MacBook Air a great value. Even better, the M4 MacBook Air can now connect to up to two external displays with the lid open, so you can still use the built-in new 24MP Center Stage camera, Magic Keyboard, and Force Touch trackpad while having lots of headroom for multiple screens and windows. M4 MacBook Air also comes in a stunning Sky Blue finish, replacing Space Gray in the lineup. Refurbished M4 MacBook Air models start at $849 ($15% off MSRP new), and that’s a great value if you want a MacBook. The base configuration starts with an 13-inch Liquid Retina Display, an M4 chip with 10-core CPU/8-core GPU, 256GB storage, and 16GB unified memory.

Generally, we see refurbished models of Apple’s current Macs and Apple Watch devices several months after they were introduced, but for current iPhone and iPad models, which as Apple’s most popular products, it’s just unlikely to come by. Maybe we’ll see refurbished M4 iPad Pro models once the upcoming M5 iPad Pro drops as soon as this fall. Stock for refurbished products will fluctuate from time to time, so be sure to check regularly for specific configuration you have in mind. Apple’s certified refurbished models undergo a thorough process to deliver great quality you’d expect when buying new Apple products. Refurbished products come with new manuals and included accessories all packaged in white boxes. You get the same 14-day return window, 1-limited warranty, and option to purchase AppleCare+ for extended warranty.
