Apple has started rolling out the Release Candidate versions of iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 to the beta testers. These are most likely the last versions of iOS and iPadOS 18, before the launch of iOS/iPadOS 26 in September. Of course, as usual, Apple will still continue releasing security updates to iOS/iPadOS 18 for older devices, but there will be no new changes or features.

Beta testers will see the update marked as “Beta 4” but it is, in fact, the Release Candidate build. Apple is expected to release these to the public sometime next week. Although there are no major features, there are updates to the EU App Store to comply with the DMA Rules and Regulations.

Upcoming updates to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 are now expected to only include refinements and security patches as Apple gears up for iOS/iPadOS 26.

These updates are available on all devices that support iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 including:

  • iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max
