Apple has started rolling out the Release Candidate version of macOS Sequoia 15.6 to the beta testers. This is one of the last versions of macOS Sequoia, before the launch of macOS Tahoe 26 in September. Of course, as usual, Apple will still continue releasing security updates to macOS Sequoia for older devices, but there will be no new changes or features.

Beta testers will see the update marked as “Beta 4” but it is, in fact, the Release Candidate build. Apple is expected to release these to the public sometime next week. Upcoming updates to macOS Sequoia are now expected to only include refinements and security patches as Apple gears up for macOS Tahoe.

These updates are available on all devices that support macOS Sequoia including:

  • MacBook Air (2020 and later)
  • MacBook Pro (2018 and later)
  • iMac (2019 and later)
  • iMac Pro (2017)
  • Mac mini (2018 and later)
  • Mac Studio (2022 and later)
  • Mac Pro (2019 and later)

It is highly recommended to update your Mac to the latest software for the best experience. Did you find any features in this update? Let us know down in the comments or tweet to us on @appleosophy!
