Apple is reportedly gearing up to release iOS 26.0.2, a minor update aimed at fixing bugs and refining performance following the launch of iOS 26.0.1 last month. A recent report by MacRumors suggests that the company is internally testing the update and could push it out to users soon.

Minor updates like .0.2 typically fix stability problems and close security holes that surfaced after a major release. If you’ve experienced glitches since upgrading to iOS 26 — think flaky Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, camera artifacts, or accessibility regressions — this is the sort of update that can quietly sort those issues out. iOS 26.0.1 already addressed a handful of important problems and patched a security vulnerability, so another quick follow-up wouldn’t be unusual.

For comparison, iOS 26.0.1 — released last month — tackled issues such as intermittent Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dropouts, some cellular connectivity problems, photo artifacts under certain lighting conditions, blank app icons with custom tints, and VoiceOver being disabled for some users. That update also included a security patch, illustrating the kind of problems Apple is still tightening up after iOS 26’s initial rollout.

Apple typically releases such incremental updates without a developer beta, meaning iOS 26.0.2 could arrive any day now for all compatible iPhones. Users will be able to install it over the air through the Settings app once it becomes available. As always, we’ll keep an eye on the release notes when Apple officially rolls out iOS 26.0.2 to see exactly what’s been fixed — and whether it resolves the performance issues some users have been dealing with since iOS 26 launched.
