Apple appears to be preparing for a significant product launch cycle in 2026, which could mark one of its most ambitious years to date. According to a new report from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter, the company’s roadmap includes major innovations across its flagship product lines.

The most significant product reported for 2026 is Apple’s first entry into the foldable smartphone market. This move would position Apple to compete in a growing category currently dominated by other manufacturers. This foldable model is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, which is also slated to feature Apple’s proprietary in-house C2 cellular modem. This development would mark a significant step in Apple’s plan to replace components currently sourced from Qualcomm.

The Mac lineup is also poised for a significant refresh. The MacBook Pro is reportedly scheduled for its first major redesign since 2021, with a target release in late 2026. These new models are expected to incorporate M6 Pro and M6 Max processors within a slimmer chassis. Most notably, these high-end MacBooks will feature OLED touch screens—a first for the MacBook line and a long-requested feature from many professional users. Furthermore, Gurman suggests other Macs will see updates, including M5-based refreshes for the Mac mini and Mac Studio.

The Cupertino-based company is reportedly planning a significant expansion of its smart home strategy in 2026. It is expected to begin in the spring with the launch of the company’s first smart display. This device will reportedly be available in two form factors: a speaker-based model and a wall-mounted version, both designed to function as a central home hub. This hardware launch is expected to coincide with major software improvements for Siri, laying the foundation for a more comprehensive smart home security ecosystem.

Among the more forward-looking products is Apple’s smart glasses. While a full consumer release may not be there next year, Gurman reports that suppliers are in low-volume production, suggesting a product preview by the end of 2026 is possible. In the iPad category, a new iPad mini is also expected to be released next year.

As is typical, the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June will serve as the launchpad for Apple’s next-generation operating systems: iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and watchOS 27. These software updates are anticipated to include significant advancements for Apple Intelligence and the company’s overarching AI strategy.
