With today’s introduction of the all-new MacBook Neo, there are two more subtle details that took inspiration from the colorful 24-inch iMac.
If you look closely at the introduction video for the MacBook Neo (and the video frame shown above), you’ll see that the pull-tab for the unboxing process features the word “hello” in cursive-style. Presumably, the “hello” on the pull-tab will be color-coordinated to the MacBook Neo’s color, just like how the Apple logo and the product’s brand are color-coordinated on the product’s packaging box, but we’ll find out whether that’s the case when we see the initial unboxings for this laptop.
This is similar to how the cursive-style “hello” is branded on the protective peel for the 24-inch iMac.

Apple even posted a YouTube short that briefly showed this subtle detail.
Another very nice touch is that Apple color-matches the UI accent color (e.g., when you select menu items or files/folders in Finder) based on the color of the MacBook Neo, as shown in this post from @JoannaStern on X below:
In her follow-up tweet, she confirmed that Apple would match the UI accent color based on the Neo’s color for the shipping units.
The MacBook Neo comes in four vibrant colors: silver, blush, indigo, and citrus. The Neo starts at $599 with 256GB and $699 for 512GB. Pre-orders begin today with availability starting Wednesday, March 11.
