Apple has started rolling out the Release Candidate versions of iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS Tahoe 26.4, watchOS 26.4, visionsOS 26.4, and tvOS 26.4 to developers. These updates come about a week after the release of the fourth developer beta, which added 8 New Emojis, a new option called ‘Reduce Bright Effects’ under accessibility, and MacBook Neo wallpapers for all Macs.
We can expect the Final versions to be released to the public by next week. Initially, these versions, especially iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, and macOS Tahoe 26.4, were expected to launch with the new revamped Siri with deeper app controls, and more. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported earlier that the revamp is facing delays again after internal testing, with key features now expected to slip to iOS 26.5 or even iOS 27.
Since we are approaching the final release of 26.4, we can expect the first betas of the 26.5 versions to arrive after two weeks or even earlier.Users who are registered as a developer on www.developer.apple.com can opt in to receive beta updates by going into Settings>General>Software Update>Beta Updates and selecting Developer Beta.
