First ‘Confirmed’ iPhone Ultra Color Allegedly Leaked

We’re just about three months away from Apple’s highly anticipated fall event, where we expect the company to debut not only the iPhone 18 Pro models, but also the long-rumored iPhone Ultra as Apple’s first foldable phone ever.

Although there’s no final word on what colors the iPhone Ultra will bring, a Chinese leaker, known as Ice Universe, posted an image on Weibo that could give us a first look at one of the colors. While the source believes that the said prototype has entered early mass production, the image should be taken with a grain of salt, as it could have been a dummy after all. Nevertheless, corroborating leaker Instant Digital claimed that white has been the “confirmed” color option for the foldable.

For the second color option, it remains to be seen; MacWorld suggested that the iPhone Ultra could also be in some kind of indigo tint, similar to that of the iPhone 17 Pro’s Deep Blue finish, based on its cited supply chain source. On a related note, even Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggested that Apple could stick with the most neutral colors (black or white), mirroring the launch of the iPhone X, which was the biggest redesign for iPhone back in the day.

Given the initial supply constraints and the very high price above around $2,000, it’s not in Apple’s best interest to offer the iPhone Ultra in even more colors, as adding more colors would lead to more production lines (and thus higher production costs).

Until then, the iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Ultra are expected to be introduced this coming September.
