Apple has rolled out a server-side update to Apple Music that includes top 100 songs specific to 116 countries. Earlier, a piece with Rolling Stone, they revealed that Apple will be releasing a new Music Top 100 refresh soon.
Speculation of an iOS update began, with a proposed iOS 11.4.2, but Apple seems to have been able to figure it out without a software update with a server-side update to Apple Music.
This has been a long time coming, as Apple Music’s main competitor “Spotify” has had this feature for the longest time, and music fans who want to hear what’s trending could not use Apple Music for this feature.
This feature is available for all users running the public-release firmware iOS 11.4.1, and the Developer/Public beta of iOS 12 Developer beta 12.
If you want to see these features in action, YouTuber “iupdate” has an in-depth video on how this feature works.
