Apple CEO Tim Cook will be giving a commencement speech at Tulane University in May 2019. This will be for the students graduating from the college as part of their spring graduation ceremony.

According to 9to5Mac, the commencement speech and graduation ceremony will be held on May 12, 2019 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is also the same home as the NFL team, the New Orleans Saints.

Cook said this about his opportunity for giving the commencement speech for the Tulane graduating class:

“At Apple, we believe that education is a powerful equalizing force, and I can’t wait to celebrate alongside this year’s students, who have worked hard, followed their passions and who stand ready to change the world.”

Cook in previous years has given commencement speeches at Duke University, his alma matter and where he received his maters degree from in 1988, and also at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Tulane University released a video on their YouTube channel that made the official announcement of Tim Cook being their Spring 2019 commencement speaker.Â
