WatchESPN is an app that has allowed users to simply log in with their TV provider credentials and stream live games and content on the ESPN networks for no additional cost to the user.

Recently, the WatchESPN has been sending notifications to its users, telling them that the WatchESPN app is being discontinued, in favor of the ESPN app.

What this essentially means is that if you are using the WatchESPN app to watch ESPN games and shows, simply switch over to the ESPN app, log in with your TV provider information and watch content just as you were on the WatchESPN app.

ESPN plans to shut down the WatchESPN app and service on June 30, 2019. After that, for those who try streaming anything from the app, it just won’t work anymore. It is a free app in the App Store and is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV.

For those who previously streamed the service on their Mac, you will now (after June 30) go to the regular ESPN website to watch games and TV shows on it.
