Over the past couple of months, I have been using a wireless charger to charge my iPhone 8 Plus. Now, I will say that when I have used it, it has been when I am playing video games on my PlayStation 2.
The wireless charger that I was using was the Qi Wireless Charging Pad that I was given to from a friend. He ended up paying for it with Samsung Pay since he has a Samsung Galaxy S8+, but at least it was an NFC mobile payment method.
Still, what this charger does is enable you the user to charge your iPhone without needing a cable plugged into it. Simply put your iPhone on the pad and it immediately starts charging.
The one thing that I do not like about charging wirelessly is that in my experience with it, you don’t always get the fastest charge available. A Lightning cable plugged into your iPhone typically gives you a faster charge than a wireless charging pad, in my opinion.
Overall, would I recommend using a wireless charger for your iPhone? For immediate and fast charging, you’d still be best with a Lightning cable plugged into your iPhone. If you are looking to charge overnight or don’t need your iPhone to charge that fast, then wireless charging could be a good route to go.
