This morning, Apple has finally discontinued the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle. The two MP3 players have been outdated for years and have not been updated since 2015.
This can be assumed because the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle can not stream music from streaming services such as Apple Music or Spotify. The only other way to get music that’s not from iTunes on the iPod Nano is to use the Radio app installed on it.
The only iPod that still exists is the iPod Touch 6th Generation. Apple also updated the memory on the iPod Touch. Previously, consumers could purchase a 16GB or 64GB version, but now thanks to Apple’s update, consumers can purchase a 32GB or 128GB version of the iPod Touch.
Consumers can still purchase the now discontinued iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle from retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Staples.
