Back in September, Apple released watchOS 6 for the Apple Watch Series 3-5, which corresponded with the release of the Apple Watch Series 5 that was also released that month.
Well, for the first time ever, with the release of the new watchOS 6.1 update today, watchOS 6 is now officially available on the Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2.
The official wording of the update is the following:
watchOS 6.1 introduces support for AirPods Pro and includes improvements and bug fixes. This update also brings watchOS 6 to Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2.
To get the update, simply go to the Watch app on your iPhone and go to the Software Update section. From there, you will be able to update your Apple Watch Series 3-5 to watchOS 6.1, and for the rest still using the Apple Watch Series 1 or Series 2, you will finally be able to get watchOS 6.
